Kevin is an international independent conductor and, before moving to Malaysia in 1999, BMA’s Director of Academic and Artistic Development was Sub-Principal Percussionist with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, the UK’s oldest and most established provincial professional orchestra.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Steve is the second youngest of fourteen
children. At the tender age of seven, Steve heard Mongo Santamaria playing Herbie
Hancock’s “Watermelon Man”. He was so inspired by the legendary drummer that he taught himself to play the congas by listening to the album over and over again.
